Abstract

In this paper, the finite-time control method is proposed to achieve synchronization based on bidirectional coupled chaotic systems. The stability criteria is presented for error system based on Lyapunov method. Compared to other results, the proposed controller is simpler and the new nonlinear system is considered which is consisted of the chaos system and the finite time controller. The Wolf method is used to calculate the largest Lyapunov exponent which shows that the controlled chaos system remains chaotic features. Simulation results for Lorenz system are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the finite-time synchronization control scheme

Abstract

A new synchronization control method for chaotic system, which only needs one scalar time series of the master system to reach the synchronization, is present in this paper. It is robust to noise and the synchronization can be obtained in a high level noise. This method is then used in noise radar system to get the target range resolution. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate when using the robust chaotic synchronization method, signal, the correlation performance has a clear peak, which makes it easy to get the target range resolution.

ABSTRACT

Based on nonlinear feedback control method and Lyapunov stability theory, the nonlinear controller and the adaptive laws for unknown parameters of the response system are obtained to achieve the synchronization of the new coupled four-dimensional hyperchaotic Chen system with disturbances. Numerical simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.

Abstract

This article introduces a novel three-dimensional autonomous chaotic system with a single cubic nonlinearity. Several issues, such as the basic dynamical behaviour, equilibria, Lyapunov exponent spectrum, and bifurcations of the new chaotic system, are investigated analytically and numerically. Next, adaptive control laws are designed to stabilize the new chaotic system with unknown parameters to its unstable equilibrium point at the origin, based on adaptive control theory and Lyapunov stability theory. Then, adaptive control laws are derived to achieve global chaos synchronization of identical new chaotic systems with unknown parameters. Further to these, a novel electronic circuit realization of the proposed chaotic system is presented and examined using the Orcad-PSpice® program. It is convenient to use the new chaotic system to purposefully generate chaos in chaos applications. A good qualitative agreement is shown between the simulations and the experimental results.

Abstract

In this paper, two kinds of synchronization schemes for a new hyperchaotic system are presented. Firstly, on the basis of stability criterion of linear system, synchronization is achieved with the help of the active control theory. Secondly, a nonlinear controller is designed according to Lyapunov stability theory to assure that synchronization can be achieved. Furthermore, an adaptive control approach for synchronization of uncertain hyperchaotic systems is proposed. Finally numerical simulations are provided to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the developed methods.

Abstract

This paper is concerned with the parameter identification problem for chaotic dynamic systems. An improved particle swarm optimization (IPSO), which is a novel evolutionary computation technique, is proposed to solve this problem. The feasibility of this approach is demonstrated through identifying the parameters of Lorenz chaotic system. The performance of the proposed IPSO is compared with the genetic algorithm (GA) and standard particle swarm optimization (SPSO) in terms of parameter accuracy and computational time. It is illustrated in simulations that the proposed IPSO is more successful than the SPSO and GA. IPSO is also improved to detect and determine the variation of parameters. In this case, a sentry particle is introduced to detect any changes in system parameters and if any change is detected, IPSO runs to find new optimal parameters. Hence, the proposed algorithm is a promising particle swarm optimization algorithm for system identification.
